My Creative Journey
Based in Calgary, Arnie Mabalay—fondly known as “Arnz”—is on a mission to bring joy, color, and a little bit of magic to every face she paints. With a brush in hand and a heart full of passion, she transforms smiles into stunning works of art, offering what many call the best face painting art in Calgary.
Arnie’s love for art runs deep. From childhood days spent sketching portraits and playing with watercolors, creativity has always been part of her DNA. Though life took her down other paths, her artistic spirit reawakened in 2018 during a church event—where face painting became her joyful calling. Since then, she’s been lighting up faces and hearts at birthdays, festivals, community events, and more.

Face painting has come a long way—gone are the days of simple and boring designs with dull colors. As an artist, it's my goal and personal standard to bring the best face painting art in Calgary to every event I attend. I strive to create bold, vibrant, and imaginative designs that go beyond expectations—turning each face into a joyful, living canvas.
Using only high-quality, cosmetic-grade paints and professional techniques, I craft each piece with detail, creativity, and care. Most designs are completed within 5 to 10 minutes, without ever compromising on quality. My mission is simple: to make every client feel special, magical, and full of delight.

Fabulous work Arnie did! She was so good with the kids and the art work was amazing. The detail to the painting was exceptional. Many designs to choose from! Very efficient too so the kids got extra painting on their arms after the faces. The other parents were all commenting on how good the face painting was! Thank you Arnie for such a great party! Booking her for my daughter’s 6th birthday party was so fast and easy. I didn’t question her rates as I already felt the value in how she treats her potential clients.
She arrived right on time and was absolutely so pleasant with the kids and other parents. She’s so good at her art that the other moms got beautiful floral side face paint as well! Each face was painted so fast and the artistry is amazing!!!
